According to traditional Eastern thought, according to the influence of Taoism, the opposite characters, the negative and the positive coexist in an individual. That is, the morphology, or property, of each entity is made up of two opposing forces. This principle is universal, without exception. The exterior (rigid metallic curve) means the negative (Yin) as a hard shell, and the interior (mesh of fine flexible metal wire) opposes it, it is the positive (Yang). These two forces create harmony.
